Friday
saw Ginger Gammon's motorbike ride out,
an Antar, a massive M26 Pacific, Zil 8x8 rocket launcher and an
amphibious bridge layer!. The day got off to an awesome start with the
ride out, with a bigger turn out than ever before, and over 75% of the
motorbikes attending the show riding out for a 25 mile trip (stopping
off at a local pub en route, of course!)

Unfortunately,
your intrepid website photographer couldn't join them (too many other
things to photograph!), but stories were told that night in Ginger Gammon's
bar of a good time had by all...

The
afternoon was punctuated by the arrival of John Attlee's Antar,
which dwarfed the Hop Farm front office on arrival.

With
Debbie Farrell (Rex's partner) as co-driver (the Antar is a whopping 90ft
long and has an independent rear steering system), the Antar was safely
manoeuvred onto the site, and parked next to the marginally smaller M26
Pacific belonging to Michael Hanson, in the arena.

Needless
to say it caused rather a stir en route...

The amphibious bridge layer, previously the largest vehicle on site prior
to the arrival of the Pacific, and the very impressive Zil 8x8 rocket
launcher, complete with 40ft+ SAM missile, both looked rather dinky by
comparison to these two beasts.
