EXERCISE FROSTBITE
It’s
that time of year again to think of cold, frosty January mornings and digging
the MV out of its slumbers for a jaunt along lovely country lanes. Yes! the annual Frostbite Run is approaching
once again. Now renamed after one of the
Guards Armoured Divs. wartime exercises in reliability, endurance, observation
and navigation, it will involve a military vehicle drive, with a route quiz, to
The Plough PH at Powder Mills, Hildenborough, Kent, followed by an excellent
lunch in their barn carvery restaurant. For 2007 we are moving the start point
to the Surrey/Kent border at Westerham for 10.30am to enable new routes to be
explored and assist the many participants who travel from Kent and Essex. This event has become very popular and full
with 140 persons every year, so the sooner you book, the sooner we can confirm
details with the publican and you won’t miss out. There is no opportunity for late bookings;
be quick or miss out. he cost of the carvery main course lunch this year will
be £9.50 per adult but still only £5 per child, which we require as a deposit
to ensure that this number turns up on the day.
Drinks, starters, desserts, coffee and other children’s meals will be
available if required, and can be paid for on the day. Vegetarian meals will be the same price and
need to be notified in advance. PLEASE
write clearly the names of your party below and not just the number of tickets
required. No ticket – no meal Send
